PRIVACY POLICY:

STC, including its parent companies, affiliates, joint ventures and business partners (collectively, “STC”), brings a diverse set of capabilities to our U.S. government customers in defense, intelligence, civilian, health care, and state and local markets. Included in our core values are Respect and Accountability. We apply these values to the protection of personal information obtained from individuals through our websites and in the course of doing business. The purpose of this Privacy Notice (the “Notice”) is to provide information about how STC collects and uses your personal information, with whom STC shares the information, and your rights and choices with respect to the use of the information. The Notice also describes some of the security measures STC takes to protect your information and how you may contact STC about its privacy policies.

1.  Information STC Collects Automatically 

STC collects certain information by automated means when you visit our websites: 

STC web servers log your computer’s IP addresses, operating system, and browser software, as well as the pages you access. We use this data, in aggregated form, to perform statistical analyses of the collective characteristics of our visitors and to measure overall user demographics and interests regarding specific areas of the website.   

STC’s websites use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information to help STC analyze how users engage with STC’s websites. The cookies transmit the information they collect to Google servers in the United States for storage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. 

STC’s websites do not use cookies other than those used by Google Analytics and targeted advertising campaigns run by third-party agencies. You may refuse to accept non-essential cookies by clicking the ‘settings’ button from the cookies pop-up banner and toggling off non-essential cookies on the next screen. 

2.  How STC uses the information we collect

• STC may use the personal information we collect about you or that you provide to us for the following purposes: 
• Responding to requests for information, including requests made through forms found on our websites; 
• Providing products and services, performing our contracts, and otherwise operating our business; 
• Processing employment applications, evaluating candidate employment qualifications, and contacting individuals regarding employment opportunities where appropriate; 
• Performing human resources functions for STC and its employees;

• Preparing and submitting bids and proposals to customers, including government and private sector entities; 
• Managing our relationship with you and the organization you represent;

• Complying with and enforcing applicable legal requirements, industry standards, and STC policies. 
• Except in rare circumstances where STC is required by law to disclose or otherwise process your personal information, STC will only process your personal information as necessary for the purposes explained to you when the information is collected or as otherwise described in this notice. 

3.  How We Share the Personal Information STC Collects

• STC does not sell, lease, rent, or license the personal information it collects to third parties. 
• STC may disclose personal information to third parties in the following circumstances: 
• To third-party service providers to facilitate the services they provide (for example, third-party payroll processors and auditors); 
• To submit bids for proposals from the government or commercial customers; 
• To perform contractual services for customers (including, for example, with a STC subcontractor or a prime contractor for which STC is a subcontractor); 
• To protect STC’s rights, privacy, safety, or property, and that of its customers, employees, its affiliates, users, and others; 
• To support an investigation of cybersecurity and other security events, espionage, fraud, insider threats, and other illegal activity; 
• In the event of a merger, sale, transfer, or other disposition of all or any portion of STC business assets or stock; 
• When requested by law enforcement or other government authorities; 
• When required by law, regulation, court order, or other legal process; and 
• For any other legal purpose. 
• STC routinely requires the third-party business partners to which it provides personal information to protect and maintain that information in confidence, and not to license, sell or otherwise transfer such information except as directed by STC.

4.  Managing Information: Your Rights and Choices

On STC’s website, you can sign up to receive certain types of information about STC by email. For instance, by registering for an account on our careers site, you are joining an “opt-in” list to receive communications related to open positions at STC. If you no longer wish to receive these communications, we provide an option for you to opt-out of our communications. 

5.  Transfers of Information

STC is headquartered in the United States in the State of New Jersey, and its business information systems are primarily located in the United States. If you are not located in the United States, we want to advise you that any personal information you provide through STC’s website and third-party online services will be transferred out of your country and to the United States. By providing personal information through STC’s website and third-party online services, you expressly consent to the transfer of this information to the United States and other countries in which we may operate in support of our customers. If you do not want your personal information transferred to the United States, please do not use STC’s website and third-party online services or provide personal information through them.

6.  Children Under the Age of 13

STC’s websites and online services are not directed to or intended for children under the age of 13. STC does not knowingly solicit, store, or use personal information of children under the age of 13, except as permitted by law. Children under the age of 13 should not register for services or provide any personal information, including name, address, telephone number or email address to STC through its websites or online services. If STC becomes aware it has inadvertently collected personal information of children under the age of 13, STC promptly will delete such information.

7.  Securing Information

STC is committed to maintaining the security of the information collected on our website STC implements commercially reasonable and appropriate technical, physical, procedural, and administrative measures to prevent the loss of, misuse of, disclosure of, alteration of, destruction of, and unauthorized access to the personal information you provide. However, no Internet-based information system is completely secure and STC cannot eliminate all security risks associated with the electronic transfer and storage of information, including your personal information. STC accepts no liability for events for which STC is not responsible or for which STC does not have control. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with STC or its users is no longer secure, please immediately notify STC in accordance with the “Contact Us” section.

8.  Third-Party Websites

STC’s website contains links to websites operated by third parties to provide users additional information. These links include links to social media services (such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube). STC does not control these third-party sites and services and is not responsible for the content of these websites or the products, services, or actions of the third parties operating them. The privacy policies of these third-party websites and services govern your use of and sharing of data with them and STC does not control and is not responsible for these privacy policies. If you link to or from our website using other websites, you should review carefully the privacy policy on those third-party sites to determine what rules may apply to the use and disclosure of your personal information by the operators of those sites.

9.  Assignment

STC reserves the right to assign, transfer, or delegate any or all of its rights, obligations and responsibilities under these Terms of Use to any third party, including but not limited to ,any subsidiary, affiliate, successor or acquirer of the Company. Such assignment may occur with or without prior notice to the user. By accessing this website, the user agrees that STC may freely assign its rights and obligations herein.

10.  Changes to STC’s Privacy Notice

STC reserves the right to amend this Privacy Notice at any time, for any reason, without notice, other than posting of the amended Privacy Notice at this Website. STC suggests you check this page regularly to see our most up-to-date Privacy Notice. Changes are effective on the date STC posts the revised Privacy Notice to its website and supersede all previous versions of the Privacy Notice.
